Lighting might be messing it up but if that's how it is in person then not exactly what I mean. Piano Black is more of what Mercedes has, Lexus is another example.

Its just a darker, richer looking black.

I think just because the sun is on it, it looks a lot lighter than it really is but I do remember how the older MB black wood trim looked. Definitely nice as well. Seeing just a hint of the wood design is a nice touch.

Like ghost flames from back in the days but not as lame haha.

that red accent does give the Elantra a sporty looking interior, kind of reminds me of the Civic Type R, but not as blindingly red. Good to hear your're a fan of it.

In the 2019 N-Line that replaces the Sport, they removed the red accents around the climate controls and engine start/stop button. No idea why. It makes the center area way too plain.

I want the start/stop button with the red surround for our 2019 GT N Line (they don't have it!)
