Pics of Stereo Install

Here are some pictures of the stereo install that I have done..

Parts used in the install.

Morel Tempo Ultra 602's for the front speakers. Being feed by a 100w x 4 in active mode. Going through an Electronic Crossover. So each component gets 100w each
HiFonics DBX 1600.1D putting out approx 1200w to the Rockford Fosgate P2D2 12" subwoofer.
The speaker inputs are being converted to RCA's via a Audio Control LC2i. Which I split into the signal via the wire plugs in the footwells.
Power cable from the battery is a "O" gauge, as is the earth cable. Then through a pair of tee's, then "4" gauge to the amps.

All up it sounds pretty good, The stock head unit does do a pretty good job. I don't think it is as clean as my aftermarket Kenwood unit in my last car. Using the same electronics.
But a huge improvement over stock for sure..

Very clean install. I am not an audio nut and am perfectly content with the sound in my tech pkg GT, but this is really a nice job you did.

Cheers..

Due to working long hours & shift work. It took a little longer than it really should have.
Though I am very happy with the results

How difficult was it to get to the signal wire for the line out converter? Always had aftermarket head units to get my sub rcas from. Also looking to build a stealth box in the factory location of oem infinity sub.

It's not needed in my case. As i used the Audio Control LC2i.

Which the LC2i has GTO Signal Sensing, which will turn the unit on when it detects signal at the input from your factory amp/powered head unit.

So the signal wire comes out of the LC2i & into the amps remote turn on.

Do you have any pics of the new speakers installed on the door? Just trying to understand what it looks like, I plan on upgrading the door speakers and replacing the tweeters in the dash before I install a sub.

Thanks so much for posting those pictures. I am assuming the tweeter grills in the dash just pop out with a pry tool? Also how difficult was it getting the wires through the door grommet? It looks like on the body side there is a full on connector. Sorry I have a ton of questions. Lol.

That's very nice work, I plan on starting on my audio build soon. I already have replaced my door speakers but was curious about getting the tweeter cover off. Seeing your post helped me get that figured out and now I can start installing the rest of my gear. I have the Rockford 360.3 that I will be using and I am ready to get my bass going again.
