Hi, got an Elantra gt 2.0 base. Was wondering if I can add the factory sub in the car?

Usually all the connections to wire it up should be their but I would suggest you ask your dealers parts department if they can confirm that by pulling up a diagram.

Are you still planning to improve audio quality?

Sometime down the road I might just try adding sound proofing and speakers/tweeters with more kick to them.

I added a sub. 8” alpine type r enclosure and mrx-m55 alpine amp. Put the LC2i in the dash. Sounds good now. I think I have type s 6.5” component lying around somewhere and those small alpine amps if I plan to add something else. Im quite pleased with it for now.
