Hey! Just bought a brand new 2020 GT N-Line with the DCT. Didn't even know this car existed a few weeks ago . Reviews of the car peaked my interest, test drive got me hooked and it wasn't long before I was driving this one off the lot. Absolutely love the car. I have always been a manual transmission guy but with the performance and fuel economy combined of the DCT, I decided to switch things up. Shifts super smooth and quick, paddle shifters help satisfy the manual urges a little lol. Here are a couple pics, she's a bit dirty after the first 250km, (yes I am in Canada lol). Car desperately needs window tint and a cold air intake to get that turbo sound out a bit more!

Congrats and welcome to the forum! So jealous of you guys to the north with those red seat belts. Now, are the DRLs on the 2020 model still orange? If you tell me they are now white but change to orange when you flick the turn signals, then I really hate you guys to the north! :)

Congrats in the new ride and welcome to the forum. I picked up my N-line w/ DCT in August and my first mod was a K&N drop-in which surprisingly made the turbo sounds much louder. Was very easy to install and only costs about $50, which was much better then spending $250+ on a full intake. Best of luck with the new ride!

@pnwgtndriver I posted some pictures to answer your questions haha. Sorry to tease but I definitely love the fact that they are clear off and orange when the car is on.
@MattY329 How are you liking the DCT? Some days I still wonder if I should have gotten the manual as that has always been my passion but **** this DCT works good! It's quick, smooth and I can definitely see why it's faster than the manual. I think I am going to splurge and just buy the full K&N cold air intake, I have seen somer reviews on the sound and slight performance increases and I think it may be worth it. For me in Canada I am looking at $400 shipped :(.

This is probably not the right place to ask this, I will look for the proper conversation but I am hoping to buy a used ECU to have it tuned, then swap out the stock one for that for some real performance gains. Throw back in the stock one for dealer maintenance... Anyone ever do this or think of doing this? Is the ECU from the N-line the same as all the other cars with the 1.6T? Obviously I have much more research to do!

This question would be best directed to the company that will be performing the tune.

No, The ECU isn't the same for all the vehicles with a 1.6T engine. The P/N for my ECU is 39128-2BPG1 (1.6T DCT N-Line) The P/N for a Veloster 1.6T DCT is 39128-2BJFx Where "x" could be 6 different numbers depending which Emission Regulation your vehicle falls under. (The Elantra GT DCT has 4 different numbers, varying on which Emissions Regulation, as well as the different "options")

You'd probably be better off getting a Tune via Gän, Lap3, aFe, etc.

@20gtnline Sorry for the delayed response, I really like the DCT its a really nice transmission. Like other dual clutch transmissions it has it quirks, but definitely not an issues. I'll have to take a look at the K&N intake, only have looked at the AFE intake. Next up is probably going to be an axle back exhaust, just not sure which route I want to go yet.

Ah so the DRLs still come on orange. I personally prefer that they come on white then turn orange when you activate the turn signals. Although I may be in the minority with that preference :)

Congrats on your purchase of an NLine. I have had mine since December 2019. Same color as yours. I really enjoy driving it. To me it is better than the 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport I traded in. So far here in West Michigan I have not seen 1 N Line on the road or at a dealership. In Grand Rapids the Hyundai dealer stocks a couple of Velosters and a bunch of Suv's, but zero N Lines.

Welcome to the forum 20gtnline! Did you consider any other cars before going with the GT N-Line?
Yeah actually I was about to buy a 2018 Elantra Sport (the sedan) but I didn't like that it was white lol. Didn't even know the N-Line existed for the GT, when the dealership mentioned it I spent a couple weeks researching it and I couldn't find a bad thing so went for a test drive and the rest is history lol.

Nice ride!
I've got a red 2019 6MT Fiery red in Ontario. I've seen very few N-lines around, no other red ones yet though!
Wish we didn't need front plates here. The grill looks way better without one.

Yeah the grill is nice on these, NB JUST removed the requirement for a front plate this year, perfect timing because I didn't want one messing up my grill!

I think the N-lines are rare so far, I bought the first one in my city according to the dealer. Any idea where to find true sales numbers for trim specific cars?? I see people quoting things like "Only 100 of these ever sold in the country" and I wonder where they find that kind of info.
