Has anyone purchased and tried to use a wireless doggle for Apple CarPlay with any success? Afraid to be the guinea pig to try and but only to have it not work.

I got the CarPlay2Air dongle (CPLAY2air wireless adapter for factory CarPlay on CARPLAY2air.com) back when they were more expensive and I like it. I think they are $129 now. It had to be reset after iOS 14 came out, but the update process was easy. Since the updates I have had fewer problems.

Android T-Box works like a charm in my 2020 Elantra. There’s no lag and it’s butter smooth. It’s very easy to install. I recommend to everyone who has factory supported CarPlay/Android Auto in built.
