Thanks for this forum! I just bought an Elantra GT Sport 2018 and reading the posts here has helped a lot.
I have been researching a lot before buying my first winter tires, and noticed that people have successfully used 205/55/16 on steel wheels in the GT Sport, and stores also offer them as an option to the expensive 225/40/18 OEM size.
But I got an excellent deal on a used set of 205/60/16 on steelies and am afraid of buying them only to find out they don't clear the caliper.
Lug pattern and Center Bore are OK. I don't have info on offset, but steelies don't seem to change much on that - or am I terribly wrong?
Any info is greatly appreciated. The car purchase hit the finances a bit and it would be nice to save some on winter tires.
