Hey guys, im new to this forum and to be honest, just made it to reach out to people who could possibly help me.

I was desperate for a car due to work so i ended up visiting numerous dealerships. Long story short, i ended up finding this car and picked it over the regular Elantra. The GT caught my eye!

I am interested in upgrading it in anyway possible.

Could someone send me a link to an-already made thread that talks about all the upgrades you can do to a base model?

Thank you for any help!!

Welcome to your new car! Even the base non-turbo car is a pretty decent ride. That being said the vast majority of the board is aimed at turbo owners..

But have a look around... but the base model doesn't really benefit very much from powertrain upgrades. There are lowering springs and various suspension parts you can fit, and most suspension parts from the N-Line will fit with some exceptions (base car has a rear beam axle, Sport/N-Line is independent rear).

I used to have a 2.0L and found it very hard to get additional performance through mods. That being said there are some parts available, including an exhaust if you want it to sound better.

Has a tune available.

It's not 'much' but the numbers are at the wheel and given the HP/TQ isn't 'super-high' to begin with you'd probably notice the difference.

In terms of an already made thread, I haven't see any specifically for the 2L but if you go to the KDM and Elantra GT/i30 facebook pages there are lots of folks who have done work to theirs.

Didn't know if I should start a new thread but if I should I apologise. I have a 2017 Elantra GT non turbo 2.0L 173HP. I understand there is not much I can do for performance but I did find that K&N does make an air intake system and was wondering if anyone has ever used it and is it worth it?

Performance Air Intake System
I am using the AEM intake for the non hatchback version of the same year. i can say safetly that everything mounts up with no need for cutting or adjusting parts.
