Came across this article from Forbes today about the Veloster N TCR:

I couldn't help but notice the last sentence:

More entries in the N line, like the Elantra GT N, will be coming later.

Could the US actually get a version of the i30 N soon? I can only hope.

One would think sales numbers of the GTS and this year's faux N would kind of dictate whether they bring the full blown 275 HP N to the USA. Civic R and Top of the line GTI is tough competition. At least Ford bowing out with the Focus might help. Hyundai might just do it, but I suspect it will very limited unless they are really going to undercut on the price to drive numbers. Of course some favorable major car magazine reviews would really help as well. Anyone know how the Veloster N is selling in North America. I have read a few reviews of the Veloster line and the R-Spec with 201 horsepower seems to get favorable reviews in terms of value / performance versus the full-blown N / N performance pack.

Changes to the new Sonata's design gives me hope well see it also get an N version.
Compared to past Sonata models its sportier even in what seems to be a base trim, my guess to better rival the new Camry.
with some N treatment I won't mind having a new Sonata

Unfortunately, I think you're interpreting it wrong... more entries like the N-line. You will see an Elantra N-line, Kona N-line, Veloster N-line, etc.

I hope they are't as boring as what Toyota does, which is 90% styling and the rest performance... performance you don't feel all that much.
