After driving the car, stopping, shifting into park, setting the parking brake and then turning the motor off.
About 30 seconds or so later a "thunk" sound is heard, apparently from the rear. This has just recently started happening. FWIW, the temperatures here have been close to 100 F. Anybody notice anything similar? Any ideas of a possible cause?

Is this after you release the brake pedal? Are you parked on a hill? May be the brake pad setting on the rotor
