Just posted on YouTube...and the guy is driving a 6-speed manual, which one rarely sees in the I30/EGTS videos out there.

Excellent to hear driving impressions and see the car & gearbox in action.

Now this is a great review. Forget just reading the spec sheet, he actually put it to use, even as far as throwing things in the cargo space to show you.

Also like that he really got on it and gave a real honest opinion.

We can't really hear the exhaust too well., I'd like to hear it and see if it sounds as aggressive as I'm expecting.

I doubt it'll be aggressive by far just because it's a production oem vehicle and they can lose more consumers from a noisy exhaust than gain. Regardless, I'll be swapping it out

I think we're asking for too much when talking about an aggressive sounding GT on such a small displacement engine, maybe its because of my V6 and V8 history but I rather just wait for an N-Sport, see how that sounds. Take this for what it is.

Don't need it to be popping shots and backfiring and setting off car alarms and what not, but something with a bit of rasp and maybe a few crackles here and there would be sufficient to have and provide a nice bit of character.

I'm sure the exhaust will be docile, but I think the GT & GT Sport are designed for comfort 1st and performance 2nd, so you'd expect something on the tame side. However, I also don't doubt that someone (perhaps even Hyundai) sells an aftermarket exhaust with a more aggressive sound -- kind of like Kia is doing with the Kia Stinger GT.

this might be the time we start seeing hyundai specific tuners come out in bigger numbers, don't know of any right now but I know when Lexus started getting this sporty, that's what happened to them.

an exhaust tuner like JoeZ would be great for Hyundai.
