Hello all.

We picked up a black GT Sport DCT a week and a half ago. So far it is a fun little car. It reminds me of my MKIV GTI as far as power and handling, but I do miss the seats and interior. I couldn't see spending half again the money for a similarly equipped GTI and having to deal with poor reliability and repair costs (I know my 01 and 92 had their fair share of the well known generational issues that cost me dearly). I do wish it had a bit more haste off the line, but I hope some aftermarket pipes, intake, and tuning will bring some life to the launch. All that said, it's a fun little go cart drive to work and around town. I like the European styling and the features for the price are awesome. Hope to see the aftermarket come to life and bring some more character to these little gems. If you would have told me 10 years ago that I would buy a Hyundai in 10 years, I would have laughed it off, but I have a lot of respect for how far they have come in the last decade.

I did not. I was looking for a fun value to-work-and-back car. I would have held out for a manual, but my GF didn't want one anymore. I loved my GTI's, but couldn't see the value that the GT has in it this go round. The panoramic sunroof was a wish of mine, though. It's pretty nice.

I've been missing my GT, though. It has been back to the dealer for some paint touch-ups since Wednesday night (it was a dealer rental car before), so I am stuck with a Sonata. Good car, just no where near as fun to drive.
