Hello everyone! Glad to see a forum for the GT. I'm near Columbus, Ohio if anyone ever meets up.
The only modification I have done so far is just plasti dipping the rear H, next I'll debadge the rest of the back.
See you around the forums!

Welcome!

I like that blue. Was going to go for it as well, but chickened out last minute haha. Too many cops and speed traps here in the North East. I like the subtle, "under the radar" vibe of this car so went with the grey instead.

Just curious, did you take the rear emblem off to dip it or did you do it while still on the car?

Thank you! I agree about the color attracting the police, that's why this is most of the visual mods that I will do. Possibly wrap the chrome trim around the grille at some point.

I left the rear emblem on, taped around and used half of a plastic drop-sheet from the hardware store. Green painters tape is best for automotive, but blue will work with minimal residue. I then peeled out the excess from inside the H and around, just be careful not to scratch. Regular Plasti Dip black, I didn't want to gloss it up.

Just finished de-badging and cleaning a moment ago.

The videos I watched on removing the badges were all using the main vehicle logo. Dental floss and a heat gun, constantly moving. Saw under with the floss once warm, I think there might be two prongs on the back of the H that would block you a bit, just don't peel the emblem at any time. Don't use finger nails to pick at any remaining residue, just the pads of your fingers and heat gun (my wife has a nice hair dryer with a high-heat setting that did the trick).
There are some good videos on youtube, I'd check them out, but I would avoid fishing wire as it can scratch easier than dental floss.
I would go with bright yellow. Let the rest of 'looser' see the great car.
