Hello! I just got into the GT game with the 2018 2.0L GT! I love the car, and though I wasn't able to get the 1.6L Sport model, I really love the car. It'll be a passion project of mine to upgrade it with a Turbo, New exhaust, Intake and the like, and I hope this forum will be a great starting point. Happy to see there are this many people passionate about a car I've had my eye on for a while!

Thanks! And yes unfortunately. The time for me to change cars came quicker than expected so I didn't have time to wait for them to receive more versions of the car... But I am hoping to turn my luck into a learning experience and upgrade this car the old-fashioned way!

Glad to have another new owner on the forum.
I'm still on the sidelines and part of that is due to the other great options we have available to us right now... and on that point... were you looking at anything else before finally deciding to get the GT?

Hey! Yea I was really into the Mazda 3 Hatchback, but honestly, when looking at the Hyundai equivalent (which competes with the VW GTI when you get the 1.6L Sport) I think all around, ie. features, HP, MPG, and comfort, the Hyundai wins out. The car just feels like a step up, whereas the other two just feel like a new version of a car you may have had once. I don't know how much you care about the features like back up cameras, or the in car interface, but the GT really just showed what a little more effort on the User interface can do, and how much of a real difference it makes when you drive this car day to day.
