New GT owner looking for mods

Just picked up my first Hyundai and am very pleased with the car. I live in Canada and am having a hard time finding any reputable stores dealing in performance parts. Is the model just too new? Any help would be appreciated.

If you really want parts that bad then you might have better luck looking overseas at vendors in Korea. Thankfully sources like Amazon and eBay should grant you that access although you can try contacting these companies directly, odds are they're looking for US-based customers to be early adopters.
What kind of mods are you looking for exactly? Some aftermarket companies are specific to certain mods and tunes.

Check this store - The Korean Car Specialists

That's where I bought parts for my current Elantra.
I'm picking up a Sport DCT in Dec when my current lease ends, will be purchasing so I'll be looking for mods after a while. Pretty excited to be owning and modding again after leasing my last 2 cars.

Hopefully there will be more modding choices in Vancouver and at least the USA.
Have you ever ordered something from the US? I've been looking for the US modding sites for my current Elantra, but couldn't find any decent ones. If you know any good US stores please share the link:)

December is right around the corner, since you live in Canada, do you plan on sticking with the all season tires it has or are you planning to buy a dedicated set of winter tires?
i'm looking for parts as well. Just picked up my GT Sport and although the exhaust sounds decent form factory, i want something a little more aggressive sounding.
I've always gotten away with all seasons on my previous FWD cars, only needed snow tires on my G35 and C250 Coupe I had before. Last year was crazy ice packing underneath new snow though so I've been scrambling to assemble a winter set together.

I picked up used 2015 Mazda 3 wheels from a salvage yard for $300 yesterday, which are 16x6.5 with same bolt pattern, center bore and +50 offset. They were in great condition with only 1 wheel with slight curbage in 1 spot. Today I found a set of Blizzak WS80 in 205/55/16 with 11/32nds and 10/32nds (new is 11/32nds according to Tirerack specs!) on Craigslist for $450. Just have to find a cheap place to mount/balance and I can put them on myself in the garage with a hydraulic jack. I have the WS80s (new from Costco during the $70 instant rebate) on my minivan in 17" and they are great so far for the first 2 weeks.

I haven't found any sites yet that are selling stuff for this car but I'm not in such a hurry now after dropping $800 to prep for a car that I won't pickup till the 17th! :crying:
Maybe start small with the Salusy center console organizer and then look for some window visors for rainy Vancouver.

Can confirm the Mazda 3 16" wheels fit perfectly on the 2018 GT Sport! Got Costco to install for me, along with a new set of lug nuts from Amazon. Brake calipers barely clear but no issues at all.

Glad to see that's the case and best of all it looks like wheels that came with the car rather than from another car maker. Have you checked to make sure your speedo is correct? Not always can adding wheels like this be a straight forward swap but instead bring up small problems like this.
I've been busy purchasing parts for this vehicle lately and figured I share all the vendors who carry parts for our dear 2018 Elantra GT.

I highly recommend picking up the Windblock / Noise Supression Molding Kits from SR, it definitely improved the ride quality while driving on rough roads. All parts I've installed so far from Shark Racing has been nothing but quality, and without a doubt increased the performance of my vehicle noticeably. I'm still awaiting delivery of the HSD coilovers and F/R stabilizer bars, and will update the community once I have them installed.

All the parts I've ordered so far, with about half installed so far.
Pilot Sport A/S 3+ Tires, Tork Dual Oil Catch Can, SR 3" Open Filter Intake, SR 63mm Big Bore Throttle Body, JunBL Axle-Back Exhaust, Tork Pipe, Tork Downpipe, System BOV, SR Front/Rear Stabilizer Bars, HSD Coilover, and SR Windblock / Noise Supression Molding Kit.

Where did you get the exhaust and how does it sound? I'd like a bit more growl from the pipes but nothing excessive.

Also interested in knowing this although at this point I think going custom is what i will end up doing.

Here is a clip from few weeks ago. It was made to show how BOV sounded, but you can also hear the JunBL exhaust as well.

It doesn't sound loud at all, much less than I expected. It just changed to tone deeper and more pronounced as you can hopefully hear in the video.

I'm putting Tork downpipe with high-flow cat on this weekend, so I'll post another video soon.

Hey y’all, just picked up my gt sport not too long ago. Great car. Wondering if anyone has found any widebody kits for the car. Also looking for recommendations on coilovers as well. Let me know! Happy to be apart of this exclusive community!
