Does anyone know if the multimedia unit (Tablet thing) is updated:

1. At all
2. By wire or over the air

Ditto on the navigation. If has an SD card slot but I'm wondering if its wireless feature could update it. If not, how much does it cost to update your map system with Hyundai?

My parents have Mazdas and it's like $70 every update.

I use android auto and probably won't care but it's nice to know.

With the included blue link subscription, map updates are free for the first 3 years I believe. Time will tell in regards to the other software. On my '14 Elantra limited, the map updates also included general improvements for the entire head unit.

Oh, so I guess those map updates are over the air? Since I can use google search for navigation without a phone it seems to have that capability. I see it seems to be the same for the software with bluelink.

Time will tell with longevity. This goes for any car brand and electronics.

I believe things like HD radio and HD traffic updates (things you see with little HD symbol) are not part of anything like Sirius XM. I hope that's a car feature and not something that only continues with Bluelink.

To my knowledge all map/software updates can be found through this website.

MnSoft | Hyundai Map Update (US)

Not sure if there are any specifics about the kind of SD card that you need, as I know some readers can be finicky. Also this is for the U.S only, so hopefully that's where you're from aha. I think your software has be past a certain version as well to update via the website.
