Questions About Bolt-Ons

Hi all,

I've got a few questions about some bolt-ons for this car. One of the upgrades I've been looking at is the aftermarket intercooler from SXTH Element, along with their SRI. Does anyone have experience with these parts? (ie how do they perform, ease of installation, are they worth it, etc)

Another question I had is would a tune be required to run these parts? The site says the dyno numbers were pulled from their tuned Elantra Sport, so I was curious if that would carry over to the N-Line. Thanks in advance for the help!

Best,
Daniel

So, the intake is easy, 20 minutes with hand tools after watching a YouTube video if you've never done an intake before. FMIC is a little more involved requiring removing your bumper (really not at all hard I could take the bumper off my Veloster in about 5 mins) but you're gonna want a friend. The thing is, yes, you'll see minor increases in power but will need a tune to unlock the true potential. I would do intake, downpipe, exhaust, coils and plugs, boost solenoid, bov solenoid and bov (in that order) before getting to the FMIC. Then slap a tune on it and you'll be making some good power.
