I have a 18 Elantra GT Sport. I didn't use Shark Racing's short shifter I went with Hyundai's short shifter for a 2019 Veloster R. I'm sure they are similar. I like it a lot, shorter shifts and much better feel. I also had Sxth's shifter bushing's and shifter cable end bushing's installed. If your GT isn't a Sport I think the shift knob can't be used because it's not threaded.

Thanks for the reply.
That looks quite nice and seems to be a factory version of what Shark Racing sells? Did a search with the p/n's on your box and these items, sold together (Shaft - J3F19AU210, Knob - J3F19AU220 & Lockout - J3F19AU230) were listed as a 'kit' (Item #J3F19 AU700 ) with a price ranging between $460-$800? On a few places that p/n is also listed as being a discontinued item as well?
Did you have it installed by a dealership? I know the 2nd gen Veloster uses the same basic platform as the PD Elantra GT. Same wheelbase and width for example and my guess is the stock manual transmission shift linkages are more or less the same between the two models?
As far as gear knobs go, I'd like to use the stock leather wrapped item seen on 6-speed i30 models sold in overseas markets. It's the same shape as the standard 6-speed rubber knob, just much nicer looking. I picked up a brand new one off eBay that came in a Kia labeled bag and had this p/n (#43711 3W400HU). Photo attached. TBH not really a fan of the round knob used on 6-Speed Veloster N's and Elantra GT Sport/N-line models.
