If you have an irritating squeaky sound heard from the rear hatch area while driving it may be the rear spoiler attachment hardware getting loose or coming off which in turn let's the spoiler squeak intermittently. Which i am experiencing on both sides of the spoiler. View attachment 1727 View attachment 1728 View attachment 1729
The nut for the right side was loose so i removed it, added loctite, and reinstalled with no further issues. The nut for the left side worked itself off completely and is wedged internally inside a channel of the hatch door (confirmed by boroscoping). Dealership has it on order $1.50. When i take it in to them they agreed to remove the hatch door to try and dislodge and recover the nut.

Yes, nearly every owner I have heard from said their outside two nuts were loose including mine. When I installed the I30 N spoiler one of the nuts was about to fall off. I recommend everyone check theirs because it takes literally minutes and could save some pain and suffering retrieving the nut. I mentioned it in my video about the N spoiler:

Thanks for sharing, guys. I have a rattle (not a squeak) in the rear that's getting worse that I'm going to have to chase. My spoiler doesn't seem loose but I'll check the fasteners anyway.

I have a similar rattle. Seems to be the passenger side above rear wheel area. Drives me crazy but haven’t found the answer.

Last night I checked the two outer spoiler mount nuts. Sure enough, the right side was loose. I snugged them up. I was hoping this was fix the rattle I have in the back but it did not.
