I've never had a vehicle with this feature, but all 2018 Hyundai models (including the Elantra GT) will come standard with Blue Link connected services, Google Assistant compatibility, and a free three-year subscription to Blue Link.

Most of the time, I don't really care for these but features like remote door locking and remote start with climate control sounds enticing. Just not sure if I want to subscribe after three years are up. What's everyone's feelings on the matter?

Love the android auto feature and I'm figuring out how to use it vs sharing the stereo with friend via Bluetooth. (Can use one but not the other)

As for bluelink this is a first for me too. I can't see myself ever really using the remote start feature or things that involve kids and limits because I don't have any.
I'm always weary of these IoT services and am concerned about hackers being able to control my car or steal it easily. Not sure how to shut it down to act like my 2002 car but that's the next step if I start to be more concerned.

However - I do really like the ability for it to notify me if me car alarm is going off, report a stolen vehicle which shuts the car down, and see its status where ever I am. As this is my first new car (and a sizable purchase for most people) it is a peace of mind when I'm at the theater and only my bluelink app is set to break through my "do not disturb" feature. That way, if I get a buzz during the movie I know something is up with the car and not something else like a text. That's cool for me.

After 3 years? I probably won't continue. Kind of pricey and the car will be more paid off and I'll be less paranoid about it.
