Today I installed one of those devices that will strobe your 3rd brake light, flash it then have it remain solid. I see these on other cars and whenever I do I think I should get one. It was a snap to install, and now I will hopefully avoid those ever more prevalent rear-enders that seem to be happening these days.
Here is a link to the device I got off amazon.

Could you give a bit more detail on the install process? Thanks

I removed the back panels at the top near where the third brake light is. I simply tapped into the wiring to install the strobe device. I soldered and shrunk wrapped the connections. Before I soldered, of course, I tested everything to be working. I then tucked back the wires and the strobe device and simply snapped back on the upper panel. It's a quick and easy upgrade and really works. If you want, I will take a photo of the install if the weather warms up a bit as I hate snapping them off when it's really cold.
