Tech Pack Radio - Front to back fader

My newish GTS Sport won't hold the speaker fader setting. I normally like the setting to be slightly biased to more output to the front speakers. After a day or two I notice the sound isn't right. When I go into the sound settings menu, bass, mid, treble are all unchanged but the front to back speaker fader setting has changed to full back speaker bias with minimal front speakers sound output.

In the speaker fader menu after making the change I don't see any button to "save or apply" the setting. So I just exit the menu, am I missing something? The fader setting change does take effect and holds for numerous engine off/on cycles. But it won't last more than a few days
This has happened about 10 times so far, head scratching.

Yeah there are a lot of great things about this car but one thing I have noticed is that a lot of features "auto reset" when the car turns off/on again.

The heated seats turn off, the auto hold turns off etc. So tbh I think it's just auto resetting too. There is a big chunky multimedia manual that came with your car that you could go through to see if you are missing something but I think that is just the way the car is.

Really annoying, but at least it keeps the radio presets! :D

Note: maybe some of those features will be changed in a future Hyundai media system update? Can only hope

I have this EXACT problem with my 2018 elantra gt sport w. Tech pack.

Went to the dealer to explain and they completely shrugged it off.

What can we do about this? This is DEFINITELY not an issue such as heated seats setting being turned off after turning ignition off. It is so freakin annoying to always be paranoid to check audio positioning settings when getting in the car.

I'm the OP of this thread, my problem went away, I'm just not sure how/why. I do know that in mid March while updating the Maps SD card the memory SD corrupted. I called map support and they talked me through factory resets hoping to get Nav working again. The reset effected the whole head unit as I had to resave my preferred local and Sirusxm radio channels. Maybe this fixed the fader control as well??
Thanks for the suggestions, OP. I will try to contact map support as well and try to get this figured out. Thanks!
