I have a 2015 Elantra GT, a few years ago the rubber wore out on the hatch release, but would still open by pressing the little button on the inside of the button component. Then a few months later it stopped opening with a press after unlocking the vehicle. I realized it would only unlock after holding the trunk release on the key fob (normal not smart). I just recently replaced the button component with an OEM one, but the same situation with the release. I still have to hold the trunk release on the key fob in order for the button on the hatch to work. I've scoured the internet and found plenty of people with hatch problems, but not this one. Any ideas?
