Hey all as the title says i am the new proud owner of the gt N series car. So right off the bat i almost drove i to some ones car cause my boot got stuck on a bar under the dash.. Is any one else having this problem and is there a fix?

Its rather annoying cause i have size 12 shoes and every single pair of shoes i own get caught on it. Seems like a rather big design flaw to me and a huge safety risk.

Thanks for any responses ahead of time.

So yea the bar under my dash i found it to be a hard metal bar that looks quickly implemented to correct a safety issue. After i few times of nearly rear ending people i looked under my dash and found 2 screws and removed it. Figured it was better to remove it then have an accident due to it. it may just be in the very new cars only and could also be a Canadian thing. but ill link a picture as well. I had less issues with my size 12 nike sneakers then my work boots. but with my work boots on i would be forced everytime to pull my foot back to reach the brake peddle.

I'm going to check this out later today on my US model. I occasionally snag my size 14 shoe on something down there. It's rare but when it happens it's very surprising. Thanks for the pic!

Here is an updated image of the bar removed. I have so much room i can kick the steering column at this point lol zero catching nothing in my way now. there must have been a serious issue with collisions for them to add this bar there tho it is a 1/4 inch thick with added structure. the cup on the end was barely welded on correctly with the ugliest weld and screams last minute ok fix to me. Some one mentioned it is so that ina front end collision your brake peddle doe not penetrate you ... lol

I think they can do better then make an accident causing bar in the future...

Had to make a link to my google drive my favorite image posting site is unavailable .. :p
