Yes exactly that! Something along those lines. I've seen it done on the ES and it looks sick

 

Tried doing a bit of research for you and there doesn't seem to be any options unless you go on ebay, though I'm not sure how the fitment from those aftermarket grilles would work.

The grilles are definitely similar between the ES and GT, but I don't know how you would go about retrofitting it, if its not a match. Aftermarket options are still relatively limited for the GT. I like this one too 2017+ Elantra

 

A grille setup that takes after the Veloster N is what I rather see. The Elantra GT can benefit a lot from it, heck even 30 minute and some vinyl wrap can help accomplish the look you see below:

 

hmmn.... this makes me wonder if at some point it will be possible and practical enough to get that whole front bumper from an i30N (via ebay or something) and replace the stock one on the GT (after having it painted to match).

 

Do you mean the GT sport? I want to do the same thing, I've seen the aftermarket grilles for the Elantra Sport sedan but not the 2018 Elantra GT Sport. If you have links that would be great!

I see this on Ebay and it looks like it would be a nice clean replacement for our grilles on our 2018 GTS.

Does anyone know if this is something unique to Korea, or if it is just a 2019 N-line grille? (i.e. is the 19GTNline grille a direct fit for our 18GTS?)

Yes, that's what the part number suggests, but that's definitely not what the pictures look like. Furthermore, if you look at the items in the shop, they definitely seem to sell KDM stuff. Hmm might be better to check with a contact in Korea if I can find one on FB or something.

 

I have a buddy in Australia and the grill is in fact different from the Elantra GT/GT Sports we have here. That grill from eBay is from their i30 Go (Australia’s base model). So it “should” fit the gt/gt sport hopefully.

 

There are differences in the international models for sure.

I've been trying to source a black Hyundai badge cover for the front and back of my GT and I discovered that the i30N has a different sized H badge than my Elantra GT N-Line. I wonder if the badge size matches the i30 Go or if there's also a difference in the i30 N-Line grill.

 

I was interested in buying that badge cover a few months back. It’s a good thing I held off from purchasing because I was close to pulling the trigger on those lol. It would be interesting to see if the i30 Go grill will fit perfectly or would require some fabrication.

 

The Kona one might fit. I was in traffic today on my way home and there was a Kona behind me.
I kept staring at the size of the badge relative to the license plate and I thought "maybe..." the Santa Fe I drove past a few minutes later was a definite no go. That badge seemed much smaller.

 

The front grill is like a graph paper grid. You affix the badge around the vertical (" l ") fat part of the grill. It should be the 3rd row from the top of the grill and the 4th from the right (see pic for reference). I used cable ties to tie it together (see amazon link) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QSIMSSA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. You can stack 3 cable tie bases side by side on the adhesive backing of N Line badge and it will be flush with the badge. Then you can use the zip ties to form loops to tie them together to create a line of zip ties to wrap around the " l ", because one zip tie isn't enough to wrap around the " l ". Since the zip ties are skinny and they are black it isn't noticeable, looks like the badge is floating or was like that from factory. Clamps might be noticeable since they are thick. If you need any more help let me know.

I know this thread is old but it's been some time so I figured I'd see if anyone knew if we had any grills available for our GT yet?

The dimensions of the Elantra Sport in 2017-2018 seem to be very similar to our cars, would the ones made for that fit or am I just being way too optimistic?

 

This has been rather frustrating for me as well...have a 2020 elantra gt n line and want a solution for either a black hyundai front badge (since the whole oval is flat I cant plastidip or vinyl it) or just a badgeless grill replacement and there seems to be literally nothing out there. Got excited finding the i30 N had a black badge until I realized the grill is different so now Im back to square one again...fook

 

I sent an email to the guys who make: 2017 - 2018 Hyundai Elantra Sport Mesh Grill Insert kit by customcargrills which is the most progress I've made.

They said they'd have a grill available sometime around the beginning of next year. I'll reach out to a few other manufacturers.

 

I wrote custom car grills an email today asking if I bought a sheet of mesh and mocked it up on my 2020 N Line would they offer me a discount for the dimensions. This was their response.

"Sence, we have the bumper here and are currently in development. Typically I would gladly take you up on your offer, but in the rare circumstance you caught me while we’re already in progress. Hoping to have these ready to ship in January."

I'm going to buy one as soon as they're available
